It is evident that a movie titled “Operation Sindoor,” given its cinematic appeal, is likely to garner a tremendous response.

The trend of making movies based on actual military incidents is not new; movies like Raazi and Shershaah have done fairly well at the box office and have made the genre highly sought after.

Take URI as an example. For Bollywood, such stories not only inspire patriotic spirit but also present a chance to gain commercial success.

A race for the title is a minuscule issue considering the film will also have to be made.

Given the actual incident, the movie will undoubtedly have a religious tone. A one-sided narrative on such a delicate subject might easily turn this significant event into a propaganda piece.

An overblown story may worsen an issue of conflict when border tensions are already high.

The fact that the incident is still fresh in people’s memories means the story must be told with precision if it is to be portrayed on a large screen.

Cinema can be a great tool to preserve a moment in history, so the weight of depicting this story to its truest essence puts a lot of weight on the makers of the film.

No matter who gets to make this epic, one thing is for sure: all eyes will be watching.
