In the world of entertainment the happenings of the unusual are not so very rare, however there are always some incidents which pop up that no one could’ve thought of even in their wildest dreams. Today’s story is of one such incident in which a Hollywood star had auditioned for a wrong project and still managed hitting the role.
Actor Ken Leung who recently featured as Commander Zhao in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of popular TV animated show, Avatar: The Last Airbender opened up on his ridiculous story of landing the role.
The actor revealed how he originally didn’t know anything of the original TV series and went to the auditions thinking he’s going to be auditioning for a role in the famous movie series ‘Avatar’, saying that he thought he’d be “blue”, due to the Avatars being blue in colour in James Cameron’s superhit movie series.
Ken went on to tell how how it was actually a blessing in disguise to come into the Netflix adaptation without any knowledge of the original series. He said that it allowed him to come into the project totally blank due to which he feels helped him in delivering a better performance without any pre-conceived ideas about the character.
However Ken might be regretting the decision as the only thing the show has been successful in is disappointing its fans. From poor CGI to horrible script writing and even worse dialogue delivery, the show has done every possible thing wrong and been the biggest flops in recent times. Perhaps, playing “blue” would’ve been a greener opportunity for Mr. Leung.
