Marvel Studios has severed ties with Jonathan Majors, set to portray Kang in the Multiverse Saga, following his December 18 conviction for two misdemeanor counts related to harassment and assault against ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Majors was acquitted of one count of intentional assault and one count of aggravated harassment of the second degree.

Jonathan Majors, arrested on March 25 for assault and harassment, faced accusations from ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. She claimed Majors assaulted her in a car, causing injury to her finger, hitting her head, and attempting to force her back into the car.

Majors denied the assault, with his defense asserting Jabbari as the aggressor in taking his phone.

During Jonathan Majors’ two-week trial, disturbing texts and an audio recording were presented as evidence, revealing attempts to dissuade his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, from seeking medical help after a head injury and making suicide threats. Majors was dropped by his talent manager, Entertainment 360, and publicity firm, the Lede Company.

His involvement in various projects, including Marvel’s Multiverse Saga, was terminated. This marks a significant professional fallout from Majors’ arrest and conviction, impacting his career across multiple fronts.

Previously, rumors were already floating about Marvel canceling their plans on Kang, as their build-up has also been a blow and an underwhelming one. Still, they haven’t shared any updates on recasting or canceling the plans altogether; Kang’s destiny does look a bit rusty.
