UK Trial Sets Kevin Spacey Free

Kevin Spacey UK TrialWhat a relief for the ‘L.A. Confidential’ actor, as on Wednesday, in the recent U.K. trial, Spacey was declared not guilty of all sexual assault charges that had been brought against him.

Spacey faced nine sexual assault charges, reported by four men, which occurred between 2001 and 2013. During the trial, the identity of the alleged victims was protected under law, but they testified alongside the 64-year-old actor.

Kevin also faced plenty of backlash regarding the allegations as his acting career crashed like a ‘house of cards.’ He was a prominent figure (Frank Underwood) in the beloved Netflix show, but in 2017, he was dismissed after fellow actor Anthony Rapp accused him of prior sexual misconduct.

Before the UK Trial, a civil jury trial in Massachusetts noted that Spacey shouldn’t be held liable for the charges due to the lack of evidence. Now, the recent trial lets go of all the accusations.

Kevin Spacey had a glorious career, even grabbing the Oscar in 2000 for Best Actor category for American Beauty and Best Supporting Actor in 1995 for The Usual Suspects.

Now, events like this come with both sides. One side shows how detrimental sexual misconducting acts are when it comes to the entertainment industry. The second side highlights the ill effects of these ‘fake’ accusations as they can tarnish any established name.
