It is the big Christmas weekend and would you believe it there is only one film milking the festival advantage? Yes, the Bollywood movie Dangal starring Aamir Khan is dominating not only in Northern states but also in entire South India.

Even under normal circumstances, Dangal would have been fabulous but the reason for dominance this strong is the lack of any formidable opposition or a biggie in any of the sour Southern states. In Telugu, we have many films but none can be considered as a must watch one. Had Nenu Local been present, the case would have been slightly different. It is the same case in Kannada film industry too.
The situation in Tamil with Suriya’s Singam 3 getting postponed is on similar lines. And unlucky for Kerala film industry and luckily for Dangal, there is a strike going on which is preventing local Malayalam films from getting released. All these unrelated circumstances have jointly benefitted Dangal. The advance booking is fabulous dominating films of local industries.
With the reports being fabulous and advance booking being terrific, we have to see what sort of records Dangal creates up on its release on December 23.
