Aamir Dancing Car Shoppe: Girly skirts in for men

fashion designer Rohit Bal lehanga model suitsFor those who had watched Aamir Khan’s latest sensational movie ‘pk’, ‘Dancing Car Shoppe’ isn’t a remote idea. For those who didn’t, explaning in detail would be a spoil sport. To be brief, Aamir picks up dresses from cars as if they are available for free. Being an alien he doesn’t know the difference between men’s clothing from women. In one scene, we see Aamir dressed up in a shirt with a jacket but wears a mustard colour Lehenga (long skirt) for the bottom.

This kind of dressing sense might seem a thing to be laughed at. But this trend isn’t new in fashion circles. London Fashion Week 2013 surprised many when the onlookers mistook three boys wearing dark earthy thigh length dresses as girls because their outfits seemed more girly. Recently fashion designer Rohit Bal introduced a whole set of bridegroom’s collection which has male models sporting floor length achkans with contrast long skirts.
