Way back in 2006, Bollywood’s Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan has slammed the Narendra Modi’s government for being inactive in controlling the communal riots. In the same year, Aamir Khan even supported the Narmada Bachao Andolan in Gujarat demanding compensation for displaced people due to and his film Fanaa which was released around that time had been banned by the Gujarat government.
However with Narendra Modi being the Prime Minister of India, Aamir Khan had set aside the animosities and met him on Tuesday. He explained Modi about the ‘Vote for Change’ episode of his Satyamev Jayathe show, which was aired just before the Lok Sabha elections. The programme focused on criminalisation of politics in India while urging the voters to cast their votes to make a difference. Modi assured him that he will look in to the various issues pointed out by the program.
