Akhil Akkineni was able to breathe a sigh of relief with his latest film Lenin. This film had a satisfactory run at the ticket counter, and more importantly, it generated a positive impression on Akhil and his acting capacities.
This film can be labelled as a moderate success, and perhaps a commercial relief for Akhil and Ho badly needed it after Agent. Considering the calm demeanour of Akhil, after the release of this film appears that he is far more settled and composed now.
Akhil himself conveyed that he is more at peace with himself and is in a relaxed state now. He is evidently looking to capitalise on whatever commercial meter that was sent by Lenin and that’s a positive outcome.
But there are certain pointers that Akhil must make a note of after the release of this film. Particularly this film could not generate any momentum in the second weekend and has largely fizzled out.
This can be considered as a feedback from the public that they are interested in watching in Akhil in theatres, but they are expecting more of him. This is just a satisfactory outcome, but will give him confidence to make better films in the future, and this could perhaps be earmarked for the Akkineni youngster.
At just 32 years of age, Akhil has seen a lot, and the sad thing for him is that he had been constantly underplayed till now. With the recent marriage and post-30 male mindset, Akhil would be in for something more prominent and bigger in the days to follow.
