The incident reportedly began after a wrong food order was delivered to the actor’s residence. The delivery executive claimed that despite apologizing for the mistake, Akhil Raj and his mother behaved disrespectfully towards him.

According to him, the delivery executive was behaving irresponsibly and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He alleged that the executive spoke disrespectfully to his parents, prompting him to react emotionally.
“My parents were insulted. I reacted only to protect their dignity,” Akhil said.
The actor also revealed that he comes from a middle-class background and understands the struggles of delivery workers because he himself had worked as a delivery boy before entering the film industry.
Akhil further claimed that this was not the first time wrong deliveries had reached his apartment. He recalled previous instances where parcels containing cigarettes and condoms were mistakenly delivered to his address, creating embarrassing situations in front of his parents. He admitted that these repeated incidents added to his frustration and that he reacted more aggressively than he should have.
Addressing the social media trolling, Akhil appealed to people not to judge him based on a single viral video.
“If I have done something wrong, I am ready to apologize. I realize I shouldn’t have reacted so aggressively. For that, I am sorry,” he said.
