With this incident, Air India entered the Guinness Book of records for being a largest evacuation done by any civilian airline which continued for almost 60 odd days. Now, Akshay Kumar wants the story of the Airlift to be teched to the children of the country through text books. “I’ve always made a request that this big chapter should be there in our textbooks; It’s a very important chapter. We all know what Shah Jahan and Akbar did, but at least write what we (Indians) have done,” Akshay said.
This is the real story what happened in which our country evacuated about 1,70,000 Indians to the homeland in 1990. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Ranjit Katyal who heads that mission. Airlift is scheduled to release on 22nd January 2016.
