Amazon Prime has been entertaining Indian audiences ever since people got hooked on it during the pandemic. But the USP of the streaming channel is that it has turned India-centric and has been making various web series keeping the varied and diverse interests of Indian audiences across the country.
Recently they have delivered three web series having decent to good content.
Starting with the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Farzi, the thriller was lapped up by the Indian audience in a big way. The series turned out to be a big hit and lived up to the expectations audience had from Raj & DK after The Family Man series.
Last month’s release Vikramaditya Motwane’s Jubilee took the level of Indian OTT content to the next level. Set in post-Independence India, the series was loved by good content-hungry audiences because of its aesthetics and performances. The critics loved it and called it not to be missed.
Finally, there is Dahaad which made its debut on Prime Video. The series is slow in its screenplay, but once again it draws the audiences due to the excellent performances by the cast, the realistic setting, and the subtle commentary on the caste system.
In all, Amazon Prime seems to have found the right pulse of the Indian audiences and has managed to give three back-to-back hit series.
