Amit Shah, the National President of Bharatiya Janta Party finished his one day tour in Hyderabad with out meeting the top leaders of the NDA allies including CM Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP is an ally of the Telugu Desam both parties share power at the national and state level.
Amit Shah took time to meet Mr.Naidu in his previous visit but avoided him this time. This comes at a time when media is continuously airing about BJP trying to distance itself from TDP as part of the strategy to strengthen itself by 2019.
BJP high command is serious to establish the party’s foot hold in both the Telugu states. Amit Shah is said to have set a target of achieving 77 Assembly seats in the 2019 elections in Telangana. BJP is also trying to replace the main opposition party, YSR Congress which is already in shambles. Amit Shah also expressed his severe dissatisfaction over Telangana BJP unit’s performance in the opposition as well as the ongoing membership drive in the state.
