Avatar: Fire and Ash is one of the most awaited sequels of this year. The film is releasing on December 19, 2025, and the makers have now revealed a poster of the main villain, Varang.
The poster was shared through the social media pages of the film on July 22, 2025. It shows a portion of Varang’s face, who is the leader of the Ash People, also known as Na’vi Mangkwan Clan. The character will be portrayed by Oona Chaplin, who appeared as Talisa Maegyr in Game of Thrones.
There is another exciting update for all the fans of the Avatar franchise. The trailer will be attached with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, releasing on July 25, 2025. However, the digital release date of the trailer is yet to be confirmed.
Although a lot of details about the storyline has not been revealed, director James Cameron has once said in an interview that Jake Sully’s family will be facing new threats in the form of the Ash People along with the human invaders.
Avatar has got a huge fanbase around the world, including India, where the film has managed to find huge crowds coming in to experience the world of Pandora on the big screen. Notably, Avatar: The Way of Water accumulated more than Rs. 300 crores in India.
With the promotional material slowly being released, it remains to be seen if Avatar: Fire and Ash will receive a similar response to the previous films.
