A car accident involving Meghana, daughter-in-law of former YSRCP minister Jogi Ramesh, has raised concerns amid an ongoing family dispute. Meghana’s father suspects that the incident may not have been an accident and has asked the police to investigate.
On the 15th of this month, Meghana and her father, Krishna, were travelling from Vijayawada to Kodad in Telangana when a private travel bus hit their car from behind. The car was damaged in the collision.
Krishna filed a complaint at Ibrahimpatnam police station on the 16th. He said the family feared for their safety because of the ongoing dispute with Jogi Ramesh’s family. He asked the police to find out whether the collision was deliberate.
The incident comes amid serious allegations made by Meghana against her husband, Rajiv, and other family members over alleged harassment and violence. She had reportedly approached the police, the State Women’s Commission and the Governor earlier, seeking protection.
Given the bitter family dispute, the accident has raised fresh questions. Meghana’s family suspects foul play.
