Ban Adipurush: Court Makes Key Comment

Ban AdipurushAdipurush has been facing a fair bit of backlash from a section of the Hindu folk in the Northern part of India.

Incidentally, Hindu Sena filed a pil at the Delhi high court, seeking an immediate ban on Adipurush and stopping the screening of the film worldwide. The complaint is that Adipurush belittles anthe sanctity of Ramayan and is a misrepresentation of the holy mythology.

In this context, the Delhi High Court has passed a new comment.

“There is no emergency in this case. We can’t call for an immediate hearing on it. We won’t be stopping the screenings till further notice.” The court stated.

The court added that the case has been postponed to 30 June. They’ve decided this matter is not an immediate threat.

Well, Adipurush’s run might be all but over by 30 June so this court case shouldn’t be too big of a problem for the Prabhas starrer. But the fact that the film, which was initially thought to be lapped up by the Hindutva wave in the north, getting lambasted now.
