'Beep Song' lands Hero & MD in legal case!

The-Beep-song-legal-casePopular Tamil singer’s recently recorded song titled ‘The Beep song’ is already wrapped up in controversies, way before its official release. The song, which has been composed by well-known music director Anirudh Ravichander, reportedly has a number of Tamil cuss words which infuriated several movies and entertainment buffs in the state.

Ravichander, who composed wonderful songs like ‘Kolaveri Di’ that were nationwide recognized, has let down a lot of people’s expectations with this song, which they displayed on social media. While the song has muted all the curse words with a ‘beep’, as the name suggests, the song has been marked as “vulgar” and “denigrating” to women.

A ban is being sought on the song by CPI-M’s All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) and the two celebs involved in this song also have a case against them under the Indecent Representation of Women Act and Information Technology Act. There has been no comment from Simbu or Anirudh regarding the matter.
