Bunny Vaas: Postponed VBVK Out Of Respect

Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha PostponementThe makers of upcoming hero Kiran Abbavaram’s new film, Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, was scheduled to release on February 17. But the makers postponed the film by one day at the last moment. Now the film is releasing on February 18.

It was speculated that the film’s producer Bunny Vaas changed the release date for producer Naga Vamsi’s SIR/Vaathi as a gesture of goodwill, which is also on February 17.

Yesterday while speaking to the media, Bunny Vaas revealed the real reason behind Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha’s postponement.

Bunny Vaas said, “Three films were scheduled to release on February 17. Shaakuntalam, Sir, and Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. Dil Raju, the distributor of Shaakuntalam, postponed his film due to some reason. In Tollywood, there is a gentlemanly understanding between producers.”

He added, “I share a good relationship with Sir’s producer Naga Vamsi. Last time when our films, Most Eligible Bachelor and Varudu Kaavalenu, were poised to release on the same date, I said to Vamsi that two similar genre films releasing on the same day would hurt both films. My film has been in the making for two years, so I asked him to push his film ahead. Without thinking twice, Vamsi postponed his film, Varudu Kaavalenu, despite being Dasara season.”

Bunny Vaas continued, “So this time, when his film Sir and our film decided to come on the same date, I decided to postpone our film by one day . He didn’t asked me to postpone to 18th, I did it as a mark of respect for Vamsi and his film.”
