The fate of Telugu cinema is hanging by a very thin thread that might cut loose any minute, causing a big blow to the industry. The political climate in the state has already caused major havoc on the film industry, and the bigger blow is yet to come.
Following the resignation of MP HariKrishna in support of Andhra Pradesh, members of Osmania University JAC are threatening to ban all films of Junior NTR going forward in the state and demanded him to speak his stand on T state. Can NTR take a stand? I guess the quick answer is it is a difficult situation for any hero to come out and take a stand at this time. I would guess he would just be quiet and wait for the right time to release his film.
Why mix politics with cinema? This really doesn’t make sense to me because the case has been similar with films such as Thalaivaa and Madras Cafe. It’s pure politics robbing someone off their freedom to express.
