Though it wasn’t made official, we have already reported earlier that senior character artist Ahuti Prasad was suffering from terminal cancer and hence was admitted into hospital for treatment. The news on his sickness started making rounds since December but nothing was official though many in the film industry know about Ahuti Prasad’s illness.
Ahuti Prasad passed away on Sunday in KIMS Hospital while undergoing treatment. Till date he acted in approximately 300 movies portraying different characters as villain, character roles and comedian. He was a two time Nandi Award Winner, one for Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Chandamama’. Ahuti Prasad’s full name is Adusumilli Janardhana VaraPrasad. But after his portrayal of villain in ‘Ahuti’, the name of his film became his surname because of the applause he got for the potrayal of the antogonist in the film.
His sudden demise is causing a great concern for the Telugu Film Industry because exactly one year before, on 5th January 2014 Tollywood heard a very sad news of the demise of promising young talent Uday Kiran. And almost exactly after one year, on 4th January 2015, the death of Ahuti Prasad is a sad begining to the new year opines another senior actor Chalapathii Rao. From the team of m9.news, we express our deep condolences and may his Soul Rest in Peace.
