Central Government which should be brokering peace between both the Telugu states in various contentious issues that arose between them after the State division is continuously failing to deliver. Both the states have several issues pending like Power sharing, Governor Powers over Capital, division of IASes, water usage, distribution of common assets etc. But in most of the issues, Center remains undecided further complicating the issues.
Union home secretary Anil Goswami who was entrusted to make sure the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act is implemented between both the states is only confining to holding the meetings between both the states and taking their views.
Similar meeting took place in Delhi on Friday with both the Chief Secretaries. The meeting also saw both the states just voicing their own policies on various terms which led to no where. There are growing demands that Anil Goswami should be removed from this role and the work to be entrusted to some other official who can efficiently take immediate decisions in such contentious issues.
