Peddi wrapped up its final event with the team confidently calling the film a blockbuster. Megastar Chiranjeevi attended as the chief guest and spoke at length about his son Ram Charan and his performance in the film.
However, one particular remark quickly sparked debate on social media.
While praising Ram Charan’s performance and calling it National Award-worthy, Chiranjeevi said “అవార్డు రావాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు… అవార్డు రావడానికి ఎన్నో దారులు ఉంటాయి, రావచ్చు రాకపోవచ్చు”. He added that Ram Charan had already received the biggest award in the form of audience love and acceptance.

The line about “awards coming in different ways” immediately triggered discussion online, especially among Allu Arjun fans, who do not see eye to eye with Ram Charan and Mega fans on social media. Some interpreted it as an indirect reference to Allu Arjun’s National Award win for Pushpa.
Whether Chiranjeevi intended any such comparison or not remains open to interpretation. But as often happens with comments from personalities of such stature, every word gets closely scrutinized online, and this incident was no exception.
