Director Krishnavamsi has today made it clear what many have been reporting from a long time. It is about the dissatisfaction with the shoot of Govindudu Andari Vadele and involvement of Chiranjeevi. The director openly said that he felt something was not going right initially when the film was on sets. It was the casting of Rajkiran in the most important role in the film and finally when he saw the rushes everything became clear.
He then goes on to thank Chiranjeevi for timely intervention and bringing about a change in casting. It was only due to the insistence of Chiranjeevi that Prakash Raj came on board for the film. Director says that due to his ego problem with the character actor he couldn’t think of him initially but when Chiru forced the change, he was more than happy for it. Thus this casting also ended the long period of silence between the director and the character actor. A major change like this and few other decisions by Chiranjeevi are the big reasons for the way GAV has turned out, concluded the director.
This isn’t the first time that Chiranjeevi has gone to this extent for his son’s film. In the past he did something similar on the film Racha and Yevadu as well. Is Chiranjeevi inputs making these films better or would these films have been much better without his involvement? At the end of the day if success is what all that matters then Chiranjeevi is absolutely right with those changes but is this nature of his in not letting Charan take self decisions going to have a bad effect for the young star in long run?
What do you think of Chiranjeevi’s interference? Are they proving beneficial for Ram Charan or are they going to have effect in the long run? Share us your thoughts below.
