An official confirmation from the Ministry of Tourism has made it clear that controversial star Aamir Khan is still the face of India. He would continue to be brand ambassador for Incredible India campaign.

There has been lot of confusion regarding the continuity of the star ever since the massive controversy broke after his intolerance remark. Many were under the assumption that the star would be removed post the backlash he has received. But the government has decided to continue with him as he had really done a great job so far.
A more cynical view would be to see this as a face saving act from government as removal at this point would have highlighted the star’s point further. Whatever may be the reason this is finally good news to hear for Aamir Khan after all the sustained harshness he has been subjected to ever since the remark.
