Post the super success of Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone has become a sought after actress in the south film industry. The reason she is being considered opposite top stars in south because the audiences just enjoyed seeing her in a Hindi film playing a south Indian.
Filmmakers want to capitalize on the fame she has achieved from the south. It is being speculated that she has been approached for the leading role in Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh 2, which will be helmed by Sampath Nandi. One doesn’t know for sure if she has given green signal to the offer yet as Deepika has never expressed interest to star in a south Indian film.
The reason she is working in Vikram Simha is because she is cast opposite superstar Rajinikanth, and that she was offered a bomb for the role. However, we have to wait to find out if she agrees to be part of Gabbar Singh 2 if the makers are willing to pay her a bomb.
