Distributor Kaali Sudheer had decided that he would go with his decision to file a defamation case on director Puri Jagannadh. The director had earlier filed a case alleging that Kaali Sudheer and two other distributors attacked him and manhandled him for extorting money.

Later, reportedly the director apologised to two of the distributors when Kaali Sudheer was out of the town. It is said that he even withdrew the case he filed in Jubilee Hills Police Station. These three were his distributors who invested Rs.10 crores on Puri’s directorial venture ‘Loafer’ starring Varun Tej.
Though the other two distributors, namely Muthyala Ramdas and Abhishek accepted Puri’s apology, Sudheer seems to be in no mood for compromise. He opines his character is assassinated in the entire drama and he wants to get his due respect by knocking on the doors of Ìndian judiciary. Puri’s version of the episode never came out after he apologised to Abhishek and Ramdas.
