Actress Aishwarya Rajesh invited unwanted controversy after her recent viral interview. The actress claimed that she would have been able to portray Srivalli better than actress Rashmika Mandanna in Pushpa.
This statement angered several of Rashmika’s admirers. Aishwarya Rajesh has now shared a statement claiming her words were ‘misconstrued’ and that she has ‘nothing but profound admiration’ for Rashmika Mandanna.
After facing backlash for her words about Rashmika Mandanna’s performance as Srivalli in Pushpa, Aishwarya Rajesh has shared a statement to clarify her stance. She first thanked all her fans for their unconditional love and support; she said she considers herself blessed.
She then wrote, “Talking about work, I was asked in a recent interview about the kind of roles I want to do in Telugu cinema. I replied that I like the Telugu film industry a lot and that I would certainly do Telugu films if I got roles that were to my liking. To cite an example, I said I liked the character of Srivalli in Pushpa a lot as I felt such characters would suit me.”
