Dil Raju: Chiru Rejected, Nag Okayed

As Telugu audiences we know of Naga Chaitanya’s debut movie’ Josh’s impact on his career. The film had been a disaster and one can see how the disaster impact has been very huge on Chai’s career. Interestingly this story first went to Charan from Dil Raju.

Speaking during the audio launch event of ‘Subramanyam For Sale’, Dil Raju revealed that Chiru rejected ‘Josh’ for Ram Charan. The story is good but it doesn’t work for Charan after a blockbuster like ‘Magadheera’ opined Chiru, according to Dil Raju.

Though he felt dejected, he took the story to Nagarjuna, who approved it for Naga Chaitanya’s launch project. Though the subject was good, it didn’t connect with the audiences well and hence became a disastrous launch pad for Chaitu.
