It was more of a Tamil flavoured Diwali for the film industry this year as films of both Dhanush and Karthi hit the screens in the form of Kaashmora and Dhamra Yogi yesterday.

While both films received average reviews it was Dhanush’s potboiler Dhamra Durai which won more critical acclaim. But that does not declare the film as a winner as box office figures are always important and they are considered the final mark of success.
And if you go by this then Karthi’s Kaashmora is a clear winner. The film has grossed 12 cores on the day one worldwide and is going pretty strong.
As the subject matter of the film is horror comedy the family audience have preferred it more and by seeing its collections over Dharma Yogi one can very clearly say that Karthi can have the last laugh this Diwali.
