Tough times like the current pandemic demand donations to combat the situations. Several stars from our Film Industry have been donating big and small amounts as per their respective capabilities. However, these donations are totally voluntary.
Nevertheless, it’s quite conspicuous that none of our star heroines contributed or announced donations from their side. There are star heroines who can command more than a crore as their remuneration.
Social media is presently discussing the non-donation of the star heroines who made it big in the film industry, especially, Telugu. They opine that it is the social responsibility of the A-lister actresses to contribute to the cause.
Is it fair to demand when the donations must be voluntary? As director Dev Katta said, donations aren’t rowdy mamool to put social pressure on celebs to donate publicly.
Except for a couple of small-time heroines, none of the star heroines aka Anushka Shetty, Samantha etc. opened their mouth, till date. Social media is seriously discussing. Hmm!
