Director Gunashekar is notoriously famous for erecting unnecessary sets and wasting producer’s money. This allegation became more loud when he is in failures and now as a result, he has to produce his own movie. However, his fetish for sets seem to be far from over. He is currently building 3 grand sets for his upcoming movie, Rudramma Devi.
1. 1000 Pillar temples set in Annapurna 7 acres studio – Shooting progress in this set
2. Huge arena set in the outskirts of Hyderabad
3. 13th Century Kakatiya empire set in the Diviseema area of Palnadu region – Shooting from October
These three sets reportedly costed about 10-12 Crores for Guna and may even require 1-2 crores more for maintaining them till the movie completes. However, a source close to Guna tells us that these sets are purposeful as the movie is a historical movie. Also Guna is hoping to generate big money through dubbing and remake rights as the concept of the films is valid across the country.
