Harman Baweja made his debut in 2008 with the sci-fi romance film Love Story 2050, also starring Priyanka Chopra. There were rumors that both fell in love during the shoot of the film and became a couple as well. Harman was touted as the next Hrithik Roshan because he looked like him from certain angles and also was a good dancer. The film sank without a trace and emerged as one of the biggest disasters of those times.
Harman didn’t give up, and he starred alongside Priyanka Chopra once again in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee in 2009. This film also turned out to be a washout. And Harman’s career never took off.
Now Harman has returned to the industry with Hansal Mehta’s web series Scoop on Netflix. He portrays the role of JCP Shroff, who’s very pivotal to the plot.
After being away from the screen for more than a decade, the actor has made a wonderful comeback. His performance has surprised not only the critics but also the audience. From being the cheap copy of Hrithik to being praised as an actor, Harman sure has come a long way.
Harman recently admitted that he was reluctant to play the role but couldn’t say no to a director like Hansal Mehta. Let’s hope Harman signs some promising projects and he gets his due as an actor after Scoop.
