Bollywood Hero South Director

Shah Rukh Khan got the biggest grosser of his career with Jawan directed by Atlee. The film grossed 1164 crores worldwide with 640 crores net coming just from India. Bollywood once again realized that South directors can project their heroes like Bollywood directors never can!

After flops like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3, now Salman Khan has understood this fact and his next project, The Bull, is a testimony to this. The film is directed by Vishnuvardhan who directed the much-appreciated film Shershah on OTT.

Vishnuvardhan is a popular director down south but most of his films have been flops except Billa and Arrambham. He also directed Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa which was also a flop but later developed a cult following among Pawan Kalyan fans.

Shah Rukh Khan sizzled with a South actress, Nayantara, in Jawan and now Salman also seems to be insisting on having a South heroine. Trisha was almost finalized for the film. But now latest reports suggest that Samantha has joined the cast as Trisha was busy due to her prior commitments.

Salman Khan will play Brigadier Farukh Bulsara, who led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives. The team conducted the mahurat shot in Mumbai on December 30. The actor will undergo extensive physical prep, even training with paramilitary forces, before he steps into the shoes of the Armed Forces officer.

Let’s hope Salman Khan finally gets a hit after 7 years at least due to the South touch in The Bull.
