Hyderabad girl Madhu Shalini is excited. After a slew of small films that boasts of ensemble cast in Telugu, she’s bagged a big project. Reportedly, Madhu Shalini has signed the dotted lines to play a meaty role in Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh starrer Gopala Gopala – the remake of Bollywood film Oh My God. Sources say the actress will be seen as a journo in this comedy-satire that is being helmed by Dolly.
The actress has joined the sets on Sunday and the shooting is currently progressing at brisk pace in Hyderabad. However it is still unclear on whether the actress is reprising the role played by Nidhi Subbaiah or Tisca Chopra in the original version, Oh My God. Incidentally, Shalini is also playing a journo in her mentor RGV’s upcoming thriller Anukshanam and looks like the actress is repeating the same feat in this Pawan-Venky starrer too. The makers of Gopala Gopala are planning to release the first look teaser of the film for Ganesh Chaturthi (August 29, 2014) and the film for Sankranthi.
