The recent data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reveals that Delhi had 7,191 road accidents, in which 1,332 people died and 6,826 persons sustained injuries in 2014.

However the figures of accident deaths in Hyderabad are more than that of in Delhi. According to the data available with the twin police commissionerates of the city, 2,585 road accidents occurred in 2014 in which 358 people died and 2,540 got injured.
According to the Cyberabad police, during the same period – 3,296 road accidents had occurred in 2014, in which 1,036 persons died and 3,320 suffered injuries. If the data of both the commissionerates are put together, Hyderabad had recorded 5,881 road mishaps in which 1,394 persons lost their lives (62 more than Delhi) and 5,860 sustained injuries.
