Tollywood has witnessed three biggies this year in the form of Guntur Kaaram, Kalki, and Devara. The common point here is that none of these films opened to unanimously positive reviews.
Next in line is Pushpa 2 which is arriving on the 6th of December this year. This film is carrying pretty good box office prospects thanks to the sequel advantage.

However, it should be noted that the first part of Pushpa also hadn’t gathered a unanimously positive response. At this rate, doubt lingers on whether Sukumar can deliver a unanimous product this time.
Incidentally, the last superstar film in Tollywood to get outright positive reception all over is Rangasthalam which is coincidentally directed by Sukumar. If he can do something like this again now for Pushpa 2, then it is pretty much game over.

With the sequel advantage and a possible outright positive reception from opening shows, Pushpa 2 can wreak absolute havoc at the box office. The numbers posted by the film, particularly in the Hindi belt would be in the record books for a long time.
Tollyood is still in search of that one unanimous movie that caters to all sections and the onus is on Sukumar to make it happen. If he ticks this box, then the game is entirely rigged in favor of Pushpa 2.
