Being a celeb can cost you big time. But when it is on the likes of Ilayaraja, the effect is even more. The legendary musician faced some tricky situation at the Bangalore airport recently when he was sidelined for an hour for carrying some unidentified objects.

Going into details, the security officer at the Bangalore airport asked Ilayaraja to step aside as his bag contained some undisclosed items. When searched further, the security guard found out that the bag contained some religious prasadam, which Raja was bringing back after his darshan from a famous temple in Mangalore.
Things got ugly when Raja’s son, Karthik Raj was hugely upset for his father being treated and not giving any importance. All this happened as the security guard who was on duty never knew who Ilayaraja was.
Left with no choice, the Raja family finished all the formalities with the officials. Later, the airport authorities made sure that everything went smooth for the legend and escorted him to the flight which was delayed by an hour just because of him.
