
Kalki 2898 AD was one of the biggest hits in 2024. The movie ended on a cliffhanger, sparking significant buzz for a sequel. Now, according to some reports, the second installment might begin production soon.
Manobala Vijayabalan shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the much-anticipated sequel is likely to start shooting in June 2025. However, this remains speculation, as an official announcement from the makers is awaited.

Prabhas has a packed schedule ahead. He is currently working on The Raja Saab and Fauji, after which he will move on to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. If no surprise projects arise, Salaar 2 could follow Spirit.
As a result, Kalki 2 might not begin until 2026 based on Prabhas’ commitments. The film might release only in 2028 if everything falls in place.

Producer Aswini Dutt recently revealed that the sequel would focus on three main characters played by Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. He mentioned that Kamal Haasan would have more screen time in the sequel.
The scenes featuring Kamal Haasan and Prabhas are expected to be a major highlight. Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone will also reprise their prominent roles.
