Kaththi starring Vijay and Samantha in the lead was the most anticipated film at the start of the year among all Tamil films. Its buzz kept increasing as the film was nearing the end. However after its completion till the release of the audio the buzz decreased and it’s been on the same course after the release of the audio as well.
Lack of publicity material and lack of promos is being cited as the reason for this reduction in buzz. In contrast Thuppakki which came in the same combination had a theatrical trailer which received thumping response and took the craze on the project to a peak. While good openings are assured in any case owning to the combination factor, it is record breaking numbers which the fans want and look forward to. With just a week away for release and no promos or new stills yet, fans are irked with the makers and well, they do have a proper reason to be so? Don’t they?
