Khushbu Turns Katrina Trolling Into a Bigger Debate

Katrina Kaif stepped out for a public event after becoming a mother, and instead of people simply noticing her return, much of the conversation turned towards her body.

That is what Khushbu Sundar has questioned now.

While defending Katrina, Khushbu pointed out how quickly a woman’s appearance becomes public discussion. She also questioned why women are constantly asked whether they are still in their “prime” as they get older, while men rarely face the same kind of scrutiny.

Khushbu also brought her own experience into the conversation. She recalled being trolled when she had gained weight and then facing another round of comments after losing it, with people even making assumptions about how she had done it.

That makes her comments about Katrina more personal than a celebrity simply coming out in support of another celebrity.

Katrina herself has recently spoken about how her understanding of beauty has changed after pregnancy. In a recent interview, she said looking her best is now more about feeling healthy and good rather than fitting into a particular beauty standard.

The reaction around Katrina has once again opened up the same uncomfortable conversation. Women in the public eye are expected to look a certain way, and even natural changes after motherhood can become material for public judgement.

Khushbu’s point is simple. A woman’s body should not become a public scoreboard every time she steps out.
