Mahesh Babu may soon be done with his work for SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. According to the latest report, the actor has completed his major portions and could be relieved from the remaining shoot.
The film has been shooting for a long time and is now said to be in its final stretch. More than 90% of the shoot is reportedly complete, leaving the team with the remaining portions to finish before moving fully into the post-production phase.
For Mahesh Babu, wrapping up his part will bring some much-needed space after spending a considerable amount of time on Varanasi. Rajamouli has been working on the film on a large scale, with Mahesh playing the lead alongside Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
However, Mahesh being relieved does not mean Varanasi is completely wrapped. The team still has some shooting left, followed by the lengthy post-production work expected for a Rajamouli film.
Varanasi is currently scheduled to hit theatres on April 7, 2027. With Mahesh’s major portions reportedly nearing completion, the production is now moving closer to the stage where the remaining work can be finished without the lead actor.
