In celebration of mega prince Varun Tej’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming Pan-Indian debut film ‘Matka’ have unveiled a special video titled “Matka Opening Bracket.” This video serves as a sneak peek into the premise of the film.

The video commences with the protagonist engrossed in playing music on a gramophone, setting the tone for the narrative. It presents characters across two distinct timelines, with Naveen Chandra portraying a menacing gangster and P Ravi Shankar donning the role of a determined police officer.

The protagonist’s childhood phase unfolds, showcasing him engaged in kabaddi before ascending to the position of the head of a gambling mafia. A moment of intrigue is captured as he smokes a cigar and utters the impactful word ‘Promise’ during a phone conversation.

Although Varun Tej’s complete appearance is not revealed in the clip, it is evident that he underwent a significant transformation to portray this powerful character. The overall impact of the “Opening Bracket” video piques interest.

Varun Tej’s portrayal extends to four different looks in the film, spanning 24 years of the storyline. The shooting is currently in progress on a set in Hyderabad, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail in bringing this high-budget real incident to life.

Joining Varun Tej in the cast are Norah Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdary, playing pivotal roles. Directed by Karuna Kumar of ‘Palasa’ fame, the film is produced by Vyra Entertainments, featuring renowned cinematographer A Kishor Kumar and GV Prakash Kumar handling the background score.

‘Matka’ is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages, promising a captivating cinematic experience.
