A recent study from WPL suggests that more than youngsters it is the middle-aged men who misbehave more with young girls. The study says, 70% of the stalkers found to be middle aged men and the reason that they are never doubted, considering their age and their wives for the most part occupied with children. When the life gets monotonous they start exploring other pleasures, not only that according the research most of the child abusers are also middle aged men.
It is a general perception that girls harassment happens more on streets. But 70% reported cases were of harassment over phone, while 20% of girls complained of harassment and abuse on social networking websites, only 10% eve teasing cases reported from public places like roads.
WPL reveals, student girls are the prime target as 50% student cases were registered. Young girls becoming prime target of harassment as they don’t share with the parents for the fear of being misunderstood or losing their freedom which makes the culprits take advantage.
