Movie Reviews or Public Insults: Where Do We Draw the Line?

Lately, there has been a lot of discussion about the unparliamentary and insulting language used by some YouTubers in the name of film reviews. From harsh words in videos to pathetic thumbnails designed only to grab views, the trend is troubling. But what is even more concerning is a new wave where general movie audiences themselves are insulting actors and filmmakers under the pretext of sharing their reviews or opinions.

The rule is simple: the same standards should apply to everyone. Whether it is critics, YouTubers, reviewers, or the general audience speaking after a movie, the rules of decency remain the same. Unfortunately, many audience members holding microphones in theaters are now crossing the line. Their language often goes below the belt, ignoring even the basic human dignity of those who created the film.

Take a look at the example video below. It is a small film, but the way one person grabbed the mic and spoke was shocking. His words were not only insulting but far beyond the limits of decency.

This raises a key question: do audiences have the right to insult filmmakers, directors, or actors in public spaces like theaters? The answer is a firm no. While criticism is natural and even welcome, personal insults, abusive words, and cheap theatrics are not justified.

Sadly, it seems that even the common audience has joined the YouTube trend of using foul language to gain attention in the name of reviews or opinions.
