Director Shankar who is famous for making huge budget films is presently busy with the production of his upcoming movie ‘Ai’ (Manoharudu in Telugu) with Vikram in the main lead. And superstar Rajnikanth is also far more busy shooting for ‘Linga’ in Hyderabad. Admist their busy schedules and present commitments, the director-actor duo have the sequel of ‘Robo’ (Enthiran) in their minds.
A while ago there had been news that Rajnikanth Sir turned down the offer to star in ‘Robo 2’ because of his health issues. He needs to tone up and lose weight if he has to accept to Shankar’s film which is strictly a no no for his age as per the doctor’s suggestions. Hence he had apprehensions according to the buzz. Of late once again, the sequel for ‘Robo’ seems to be on cards and Shankar is busily planning the star cast for the project.
In the prequel Rajni played both hero (scientist) and the villian (Chitti Robo), but according to the latest reports, Shankar is thinking of casting Aamir Khan as the baddie while Rajni will play the hero as in the prequel. As per the buzz, Shankar approached Bollwood Mr.Perfectionist for the villian role in ‘Robo 2’ and Aamir Khan too was excited and gave his nod for the movie. If this news turns out to be true, then the Rajni-Aamir-Shankar combination itself would be a sensational one.
