Trailer Talk: Can SK’s Lifetime Role Become BO Milestone?

The much-awaited trailer of Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha is out now. Featuring Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and many others in the lead, Eetha is directed by Laxman Utekar and is based on the life of the well-known tamasha artist, Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.

While the teaser was intense and unique, the trailer is decent but not outstanding at the same time. Shraddha Kapoor undoubtedly takes away the limelight with her dance moves and dialogue delivery.

Unfortunately, it can be seen that the makers have reserved the best for the theatrical experience. This is why the other characters hardly get enough screen time to show a glimpse of themselves to the audience. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub’s encouraging words can be heard in the background. But it could have been impactful if the actor appeared himself and said those words.

When audiences are looking at a biography, anyone expects things to be as fresh as possible. But here, the freshness is missing. The entire trailer has the vibes of Gangubai Kathiawadi, except the fact that the intense side of Shraddha’s character appears towards the end of the trailer as she confronts someone who seemingly insults the Nauvari.

The film is surely going to take audiences back in time, and the sets are hinting at the same. The entire atmosphere, including the village life and the stage where the lead performs, looks authentic. The makers are clearly not compromising in terms of keeping things as realistic as possible.

But until the film arrives on the big screen, nothing much can be said about whether the makers have brought a faithful adaptation of a real-life story. The trailer clearly does not live up to the hype set before its arrival. However, it does create curiosity among the audience to book their tickets.

Considering that Vithabai was a popular face in Maharashtra, Eetha is expected to do an outstanding business in this region. Talking about the other places across India, everything will entirely depend on word-of-mouth and the audience’s interest in watching the film.

Movies with solo female leads are undoubtedly a big risk when it comes to box office numbers. However, trade experts have stated that Eetha might change that, specifically due to the image of Shraddha among the audience. Now only time will tell whether the predictions will turn out to be true.
