Mukunda which marks the debut Varun Tej, of son of Nagababu, is back in the hunt to release for festival. The shooting of the film is almost complete and the makers too had locked the release date of the film for Diwali. But soon a mammoth film like I too announced its date for the same festival and thus Mukunda had to wake way.
However the talks are gaining momentum about an imminent postponement of Shankar’s I as the makers are looking at releasing the film simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The problem here is that on Diwali there are biggies planned to release in Tamil as well as Hindi and the makers of I can’t afford to share screens due to its humongous budget, it needs as many screens as it can and hence they are looking to postpone their film. This leaves the Telugu slot for Diwali open and Mukunda team is looking at cashing this. A final decision on the release date would be known in few days time. Mukunda is directed by Srikanth Addala.
