Nag Ashwin celebrates his birthday this day, April 23. The young filmmaker from the days of Yevede Subramanyam to National-award winning film Mahanati to helming pan-Indian actor Prabhas has come a long way. From last birthday to this day, it has been an eventful year for the filmmaker: he is set to direct pan-India actor (Prabhas), and then he donned producer’s hat first-time with Jathi Ratnalu, which became a sleeper hit and biggest money minter this year.
While an update on Prabhas-Nag Ashwin is awaited, huge buzz carries on this ‘futuristic’ film. The sci-fi film was supposed to go on floors last year, but as Prabhas was busy with other pan-Indian films, it got pushed. And the second wave played havoc on the filmmaker’s plan who wanted to shoot from July and have now pushed to post Dussera.
Apart from Prabhas, it has the biggest names of Bollywood- Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. With these three big names coming on-screen together, it won’t be less than a visual extravaganza. Massive hype is surrounding the film. Nag Ashwin has reiterated that he is going to give a world class appeal, a new time travel concept which would leave audiences with a new thrilling experience.
The filmmaker is disappointed about the film delay but at the same time is positive that this gap will ensure enough time for the film’s Pre-Production works. Like Jathi Ratnalu, he is keen on making Prabhas film another blockbuster.
