Sankranthi is one of the biggest seasons for films and film makers don’t lose the oppurtunity because the holiday season gives them huge occupancy in theatres. Two big Telugu films ‘Temper’ and ‘Gopala Gopala’ are going for Sankranthi release if one goes by the earlier announcements from those film makers. They are going to compete with Vikram’s ‘I’.
But the ongoing strike in Tollywood is going to badly effect the release of these two big films. Both the films are in their last leg of production. ‘Gopala Gopala’ has only one song left for picturisation while ‘Temper’ has only two weeks of shooting pending. Film Federation of Employees (FFE) isn’t going to consider whether the films are close for completion or not. Both the films have to wait until the strike is called off.
Since there are no talks going on between FFE and producer’s council, films resuming shoot would not happen till the matters between the duo are solved. Though not slated for Sankranthi release, even Trivikram-Bunny combo will also suffer beause the makers of the film have announced February 5th release. What remains is, Kollywood dubbing films like ‘I’ would conquer the holiday season market without big competition from Telugu biggies.
