Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, was announced to release on Independence Day weekend, August 15, along with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. However, recent development suggests that Pushpa 2’s release has been postponed, granting Singham Again a solo release.
Speculations arose when a Bollywood journalist tweeted about Singham Again having a solo release, hinting at Pushpa 2’s delay. A section of people believed this news also as the film’s shooting is facing delays due to unforeseen issues, including the arrest of a supporting actor, playing Keshava, in a suicide case.
Sukumar is also known as a perfectionist who believes in reshootings till he gets the desired output. During Pushpa 1 also things were postponed till the last minute. The prints also arrived very late overseas due to last-minute developments. So fans became disappointed with Pushpa 2 potentially missing the Independence Day jackpot.
But a source close to the team has posted that Pushpa 2 hasn’t been postponed and is coming on August 15 as announced. This postponement news must be a trick by the Bollywood trade to spread panic among Allu Arjun fans.
There are also chances that Singham Again makers will realize the typhoon that Pushpa 2 is going to create at the box office and postpone their film to a later date and give Pushpa a solo release. Hope they won’t repeat the mistake done by Dunki makers.
