Oora Mass Director Boyapati Srinu and actor Ram Pothineni are teaming up for their pan-India debut film, “Skanda.” Unlike some recent Telugu movies, which were projected as pan-India only for namesake, it seems Ram and the makers are truly interested in getting the North audience on board with Skanda.
Ram Pothineni has recently done a Hindi interview with the famous dubbing artist Sanket Mhatre, who has given his voiceover for many films like One Piece Live Action Netflix series), Batman, Deadpool, Green Lantern, Batman, Shazam, Captain America, and even Allu Arjun in a few of his dubbed films.
Ram is looking to crack the Hindi belts with Skanda as he believes the Boyapati kind of cinema is the best way to lure Hindi audiences.
Though the North Indian audience doesn’t know Boyapati’s name, his dubbed films in Hindi have performed superbly on satellite and YouTube, which is a positive sign for Skanda’s business in the North.
Mass-oriented films with Indian flavor have been doing well in Hindi, as seen with Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa” and Sunny Deol’s recent blockbuster “Gadar 2.”
The film might not open big initially, but if word of mouth is good and if the makers promote the film continuously even after its release, then Skanda is sure to make a mark in the Hindi market. Achieving Rs 15Cr – 20Cr from Hindi belts would be a significant accomplishment for Skanda.
